Welcome to my blog!

From x stitch I moved into card making - now I am playing around with mixed media! I am taking part in different workshops and with help from crafty pals, learning about different mediums and techniques. Hope you feel inspired to create after a visit to my blog - Happy Crafting!

July Full Mead Moon

This is the goddess Sunna - I decided to use coloursoft pencils for her face as I really struggle with shading (and drawing faces). I can work on the shading better with the pencils than acrylic paint but I suppose I will only get better if I keep trying.

Hope your week is starting off well

Gettin my moonshine on!!

When I should really be making a christening card for my god daughter next weekend and actually starting some Christmas cards!. This is June New Oak Moon - which shows you how far behind I am!!

I started out with gelatos for the base and then put a metallic acrylic paint on. I then found some bp that I liked and tore some up.

I then went over the top with more metallic paint.

I used a metallic gelly roll for the lines on the tree. The leaves were punched from some watercolour colour paper I had been playing around with gelatos on.

The quote reads  Between every two pines is a doorway to a new world'.

I am quite pleased with how this turned out.

Hope your weekend is going well

Dog of the Week

This gorgeous girl is Millie!

Millie is a girl who needs a quiet peaceful home that can help her adjust to domestic life - she is somewhat shy when she first meets you but is fine when she gets to know you - Millie would need an owner that is prepared to give her the time and patience that she needs

Millie has not been tested with domestic dogs or cats

September Gratitude Journal

I am still continuing with my gratitude journal and here are the pages for September

I always think of September as the start of a new year - too many friends/family who are teachers I think! I had to use book pages and my pencils stamp as it seems so apt!

I love September as it means autumn is close, I love the colours, textures and bundling up that it brings. I also love halloween and bonfire night - I guess I'm just a big kid really!

Me Time Messages Week 4

Clare came up with a summer school called me time messages - I have got very behind but this is my week 4

It reads - organising is what you do before you do something, so that when you do it, it is not all mixed up.

It reads - organising is a journey, not a destination and one of the pictures reads - blessed are the list makers :)

Hope your week is going well
